The UF Racers Club

Uf 1000 The UF Racers Club is an Live For Speed Organisation that was created in the winter of 2006 so that LFS racers who loved close, clean and fun UF category racing could be given the opportunity to compete in organised leagues and events.

The organisers got together and put out some feelers for a UF1000 league that was to concentrate on making a close, competitive and interesting league. The UF Racers Club was originally named 'UF Owners Club'.

The first league that was organised by the UF Racers Club was run using the UF1000 car. The initial interest and demand was so high that the series received in excess of 50 signups. The league was called the UF1000 "May-Hem" Cup, and was a great succes.

A video showcase highlighting the action of the UF1000 "May-Hem" Cup is available

A UF Baby-R is born

Test Race After the success of the UF1000 "May-Hem" Cup the UF Racers Club looked for a new challenge. Feedback from the cup showed that racers liked close, clean action but also wanted something new.
After lots of hard work and late nights, the engineers of the UF Racers Club produced a racing variant based on the UF chassis which was good for close racing but had a lower more controllable power output compared to the UFGTR machine.

After several testing sessions the work was complete, a UFR car using a restricted 45% Engine gave a vehicle that performed similarly to the much loved Mini miglia Racers.

Back at the factory the first cars started to be built to the new specifications. The new car needed an appropriate name. The car needed to have a name that clearly identified with the type of vehicle it was and thus the UF Baby-R was born.

With the creation of the UF Baby-R came the second league to be organised and run by the UF Racers Club.

UF Baby-R "Fall-Out" Cup Season 1

The Baby-R "Fall-Out" Cup was to take place over seven weekly race evenings. The format would be changed from previous leagues and would include features such as:

8 minute qualification sessions

Multiple races per round

A reverse top 8 grid for the last race of the evening

A one hour season finale with mandatory pit stops

Drivers, Teams and Privateers Championships

Sokke Before the signup for this league we were hoping to receive up to 30 applications. After a few weeks of running the UF Baby-R on a dedicated server we found out that the interest was overwhelming. When signup opened we had a staggering 50 sign-ups almost immediately.

The decision was made to keep only one division and with a maximum of 30 racers only able to 'race' a system had to be organised to allow for pre-qualifying to take place before each weekly race track.

On November 8th 2007, 40 cars and drivers nervously headed to the Caribbean race track of Fern Bay Green for the first official league race in this new class of LFS racing.

The rest as they say, is History.

CTRA

The much loved UF Baby-R has been given a place within the CTRA Race Authourity Community.

At the end of Season 1 of the "Fall-Out" Cup, the naming of the series was changed to The UF Racers Club.

With the launch of Patch Y and the CTRA X1.5 system the UF Baby-R was introduced as one of its entry level racing servers....

Taken from the www.raceauthority.com website...

"Introducing the new UF BabyR challenge server. The UF BabyR (CTRA designation: UF-BR) follows the intake restriction as imposed by the Fall-Out Cup league. We at UKCT enjoyed the season so much that we decided to launch a new entry-level server in its honour."

It is fantastic to see what an idea can lead too. When it was introduced the A UF-BR server was amongst the most populated of all LFS racing servers.

With so many new racers falling in love with the Baby-R, I'm looking forward to a second season of the "Fall-Out" Cup which will possibly introduce a brand new crowd of interested drivers into the UF Racers Clubs membership.
